Pain In The Penis And Testicles. No STD Or UTI. Taking Keflex. Right Medication?

Hi

I have been tested for all stis and they came back clear. My doctor has tested for uti and that came back clear. he prescribed Keflex antibitics and that seemed to help. I have a dull pain in the head of my penis and also my testes. what could it be? also my local gum clinic said the Keflex would have cleared up any stis. is that right as I thought stis were treated with specific antibiotics

Good day!

Do you have abnormal discharge coming out your penis? If your laboratory results came out negative most likely you don't have STI or UTI. I would suggest to complete the antibiotics your doctor gave you to avoid resistant strains. The swelling in your testis and penile head could be inflammation and not infection. For inflammation NSAIDS is usually given (e.g mefenamic acid, celecoxib) to take away the swelling and the pain. It is also advisable to refrain/abstain from any form of sexual contact until the swelling is gone and your have completed your antibiotic doses.
