Pain In The Side Of The Body, Tender Breasts. Had Embryo Transfer. Medication Side Effects?

Hi I had embryo transfer done 5 days ago I only had one embryo at 5 stage ,which I read is very bad as they should be between 6-10 .the first few days I had bad pains in my side and had to wee a lot especially through the night.That went and today I had period like feelings and my stomach is hard like as though my period is coming .i also have very tender breasts .is this a side effect of the drugs or am I getting my period?

I can understand your concern. The medications provided to you are mostly hormonal (eg. progesterone), which can easily cause all the symptoms you are experiencing.

As for your period, as you have not provided me with details of your cycle, your last period, etc; it is a little difficult to comment on this. I would request you to calculate the date of your last period and find out when you are expecting your period. If you are soon expecting your period, this could be attributed to the period as well. As all your symptoms are normal and of no serious concern, it might not be important to find the exact cause. Just wait it out, and if you do not get your period in 24-48 hours, your symptoms were most probably due to the effect of the supplementary hormones prescribed to you.
