Pain Near Spine While Sitting For Long. No Relief With Pain Balm. Reason?
sirs, it pains me at the right- hand side muscles near the spine(at the middle) while i sit long, stretch body left side. This started years back. This muscle hardens itself compared to the left. If i press it it pains more. Tried many pain balms, but no change. If i work out regularly it subsides. can u please tell me the reason for pain.
pain this side could be due to muscle spasm. We call it myalgia, it could be work related especially if you are right handed. You would use the right side group of muscles more often. Another cause of pain would be bad posture or leaning to one side more than the opposite side. For this, you need to check your sitting posture when working. Lastly, curvature of the spine to one side would give the opposite side more strain. We call this scoliosis, have your spine alignment checked through spine xray. Severe curvature of the spine can cause this type of pain and pain balm will do little help. Physical therapy will be done for ideal management of this problem.
Feel free to follow up after your xray is done. Thanks.
