Pain On Right Foot, Swelling. Diagnosed As Tendonitis. Prescribed Prednisone, Hydrocodone, Still Painful. Home Remedies?

Hi I went to a walk-in clinic for pain on the top of my right foot and swelling.
An xray was taken which showed no fractures. I was prescribed prednisone
and hydrocodone for the pain. I was not prescribed nsaids due to my HBP.
This was back on 13 June. It has not improved much and I still have pain
and swelling. The diagnosis was tendonitiis. My question is what can I do
about the swelling and pain? Any home remedies you can recommend until
I can get to a Orthopedic specialist?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The persistent pain that you are having is due to the inflammation around the tendons. Doing a hot fomentation and taking a good muscle relaxant will help in controlling your symptoms.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. You can consult me again directly through my profile URL http://bit.ly/Dr-Praveen-Tayal
