Hi, I am Dr. Supriya. i am a dentist.Yes,after removal of wisdom tooth, you will've a lot of pain ,because of surgical removal of that tooth. You have a big wound in that region. It will take time for healing.but you don't worry. Paracetamol, ibuprofen and codein are painkillers. but u can use these S.O.S ,while u'hv to feel pain. It will take time for healing maximum one month.i can advice a one thing to you, you should have to do warm saline rinses 3-4 times a day. you will feel very much relief from that procedure........take care
Hi,
Pain after wisdom tooth removal especially if its surgical or traumatic is normal and if your doctor has checked for infection then there is nothing to worry over. It will ease in a couple of days. For relief, please do warm saline gargles 3-4 days / day, along with a good mouth wash and make sure that no food gets stuck in the extraction site as that also impedes healing. You can ask the doctor for a stronger pain killer to ease pain. Also keep having lot of liquids, such as juices, lime water, electrol etc to keep up your energy and body resistance as you are not eating much.
Regards
hello
its very common problem what you are having. since the removal of third molar involves lot of injury to surrounding tissues and bone it takes time for tissues to heal. since doctor has confirmed there is no infection you need not have to worry much. be patient you'll be alright in few days.
wish you speedy recovery.
