Painful PAP Exam. PAP Tests Came Clear But Cervical Discharge Culture Shows Klesbiella Pneumoniae. What Does This Indicate?
Hi! During a normal papexam, my Dr. found a discharge coming from cervix,Cultures were tested 2X .Paps were normal..discharge came back 2x as klesbiella pneumoniae..51 yrs. old...had 2 spinal fusions at Cleveland Clinic...one in June..One in August..Horrible flu middle of Sept-middle of Oct. Being treated for k.p with;SMZ/TMP DS 800 2x a day ( Bactrim) , Metronidazol 500 mg 2X daily and Ciprofloxacn 599 2X daily...After first exam no tenderness during full pap exam...second exam ( few days later) right ovary was extremely painful. Any thought?

The medication is correct. For the pain in the right ovary you should consult with your doctor and an ultrasound to see what is the problem. Take care of your self
