General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, it may be due to some problem in the spine , due to pressure on the nerves, usually one get such symptoms, may be sciatica, pressure on the sciatic nerve.
I usually prescribe neurotropic injections for 5 consecutive days, analgesics, when ever necesory, and pragabolin and methylcobalamin once daily for a considerable period. So i advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. Thank you.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. K. Naga Ravi Prasad's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM
The fact that you are using Gabapentin suggest that you have some sort of neurological problem involving your legs.

Generally, the neuritic pains tend to be more severe in winters. This is because the nerves will become more sensitive in cool temparatures & the perception of pain will be more.

I advice
* room warmers (if you have the facility)
* use of night socks
* cover your feet in thick woollen blankets while sleeping

I think these should solve your problem.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
