Painful Eyes, Itchy With Dry Lids. Diagnosed As Blepharitis, Applying Lotemax Gel. Cause? Is It Contagious?

Both my eyes have become painful, itchy with very dry lids. I was told I have Blepharitis and was given Lotemax .5% gel to use 3X/day for 10 days. Also advised to use warm compresses. Is there anything else I can do for this? Will it go away? Could using Latisse have caused the disorder? What are the causes? Is it contagious?

Hello. Gel you're using on your eyelid only has a component-corticosteroid.
You need a cream/gel with two components-corticosteroid and antibiotic-for the proper treatment.Although sometimes pathology is resistant to treatment, with the cream and warm compresses will resolve.
The causes are diverse and usually is not contagious pathology.
I wish you good health.
