Painful Lump In Between The Anus And Vagina. History Of Hemorrhoids. Advice?
Hi, I'm a 51 yr. old woman and am experiencing a lump in-between my vagina and anus (perineum). I have never had something like this in that area before, although I have had hemorrhoids in the past, and this lump does actually start out appearing to be a hemorrhoid but continues along my perineum as it becomes larger and ends at the entrance of my vagina. It is painful to the touch and extremely uncomfortable to sit down. What are your thoughts and advice please?

Hi, Hi, The lump you describe to be between anus &perinium, seems to be a perianal abcscess following constipation, vulvovaginitis with scratching leading to 2ndry infection,or an extended bartholin's abscess.or just an inflammation of the skin fold. Whatever the cause is- the abscess being in v. important region of perinium-needs immediate attention. This will prevent involvement of delicate tissues nearby. The condition can not be managed at home, except for keeping the area clean., some pain killer that suits you can be taken after food .you can get some releif from pain. please visit &consult a surgeon ,get examined, investigated & treated. Sometimes surgical intervention is needed in perianal abscess. Take care. Thank you.
