Painful Lump On Earlobe Starting To Go Down The Neck. Treatment?

My husband has a lump on his earlobe, what we believe is a cyst, the doctor told him they couldn't do anything about it at the ER and he has no insurance or anything so he don't have a PCP. Well that was like a month ago, now he's saying its bigger and it's starting to go down his neck and the pain is worse. What can I do for it? What could it be ?? Do I need to get this treated immediately?

Allergist and Immunologist 's  Response
THIS CAN BE CYST OR LIPOMA
SOME LESIONS ARE BENIGN AND SOME ARE MALIGNANT WE HAVE TO CONFORM THIS BY GETTING FNAC FROM PATHOLOGIST ACCORDING TO THE LESION WE CAN DECIDE
IF THIS IS BENIGN AND DOES NOT EFFACT ANYTHING WE CAN WAIT AND IF MALIGNANT AND CHANCES OF MALIGNANCY IN NEAR FUTURE WE HAVE TO PERATE IT
IF IT IS FOR LONG NO PANIC STILL YOU CAN CONSULT SURGEON WITH FNAC REPORT WHICH CAN DECIDE THE FUTIRE

Cardiologist Dr. Anantharamakrishnan's  Response
Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

If it is increasing in size and pain is worsening / that too in a month / it needs urgent attention.
A biopsy is generally needed for definitive diagnosis.
Earlier the better / delay may be dangerous...
Surgeon - preferably a specialist head and neck surgeon - should see..

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
