Painful Mouth, Tooth Filling Hurts, Headaches, Hot Flushes. Is It Something Serious?
my partner is suffering with severe pain in his mouth, this has been an ongoing issue for over a year which comes and goes but this time it is a lot worse. the pain seems to be centered around one particular tooth which has a filling. it sometimes bleeds and is sometimes smelly. He is having headaches because of it and has been getting hot flushes. I am currently waiting for a call back from an emergency dentist but can you suggest anything other than pain killers as this isnt working. He has also been using a dental oral gel but this isnt numbing the pain.
Hi there Thanks for asking your query The history provided shows that your filled tooth has developed infection This tooth is causing you pain around tooth which is radiating towards head Get an xray done to evalute the filling and tooth If infection is deep in pulp with periapical involvement then filling has to be removed and root canal treatment should be done Meanwhile pain can be treated by analgesic Maintain good oral hygiene Consult your dentist too Thanks
According to your clinical symptoms i suppose that you have developed infection or secondary caries in your filled tooth. I would suggest you to visit to the Dentist and get an x-ray done. Root canal treatment has to be performed. Take a course of antibiotics and analgesics under prescription of your Dentist. Take lukewarm saline nad antiseptic mouthwash rinses. Maintain a good oral hygiene.
thanks for query hello friend your partner's trouble can not be helped by pain killers. i may inform you that his problem is ocuring most probably from the filling which he has got in the tooth. ..may be there is some underlying caries beneath that or he is having periodontitis..... visit your dentist and get an x ray done for the region. it will make clear the cause of the pain. if there is infection beneath the filling, filling should be removed and the tooth root canal treatment should be started as soon as possible. scaling and root planing of the tooth will also help. ...happy to help you regards
hi... thanks for the query... it seems to be abscess formation... proper clinical and radiographic examination is required... filling has to be removed and tooth might require root canal treatment... it will also require proper scaling, root planing and curettage also... antibiotic course is also required... symptoms will subside after treatment... don't worry... take care...
hi there thank you for sharing your concern filled tooth must have developed infection. clinical and radio logical examination will be needed. if there is pus formation , it has to be get drained by opening canals through root canal treatment. analgesics will not give permanent relief , localized treatment will be needed. meanwhile maintain good oral hygiene do antibacterial mouth wash rinses for eew days, take care regards
Hi, Welcome to HCM forum, It seems the your filled tooth has developed infection may be due to secondary caries. Filling has to be removed and root canal treatment has to be done. Consult a dentist for clinical and radiographical examination of that tooth to rule out the source of infection in that tooth. Wishing you a cure soon Take care
