It is highly unlikely that the bitter mouth is due to HIV. While it is true that patients with aids might get an infection in the mouth with a fungus, this is not usually what happens three weeks after an exposure. Furthermore, it would be more than just a bitterness in the mouth. It usually includes a white discharge, swelling and much worse discomfort in the mouth.

I think you can relax for now and wait for the test results you will get on Monday. In the meantime, make sure you do not have unprotected sex until you are in a faithful monogamous relationship with someone who you know is clear of STDs. Good luck! I hope you hear good news next week.
