Parkinsons, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Chilliness, Convulsions, Stomach Pain, Fever. Causes For Symptoms?

My husband is 62. He has Parkinsons and Rhumatoid Arthritis . He was outside today and got chillty. He put on a sweatshirt and kept getting colder. He started to shake all over with convulsions and had stomach pains (not vomiting or diarrhia). He finally got warm and has a temp between 101 and 102. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi,
Was it convulsion or rigors?

If convulsion it is more serious,--- you have to get neurologist consult soon.

If it is rigors it may be due to infections like urinary infection, malaria, gall bladder infection, etc.

In view of the fever rigors are more likely!

Good luck

Dr Uma
