Passed Huge Clots After Taking Cytotec For Abortion And But Why Pregnancy Test Showing Positive?

I was to have a surgical abortion at 11.5 weeks. I took the cytotec that the nurse gave me prior to the procedure. I made it all tge way to the surgical table and could not go through with the procedure. I went home and later that night I was cramping and passed 3 huge clots. A week later I feel like I am no longer pregnant, but a pregnancy test shows positive. I now only have a little bit of brown discharge now. What are the chances that I lost the baby?

Thanks for consulting us.
With the given history chances are strong that you have passed the products of conception, but nothing can be said for sure.
A positive pregnancy test may be misleading in this situation, for a clearer picture have a pelvic ultrasound & if there is any doubt you may go for a blood pregnancy test. These tests are more reliable in the given situation.
Take care.
