Patches On Face. Used Anti Fungal Tablets Linked To Hormones. What Could They Be?
Hiya. I am a 26yr old African woman with lighter patches on my face, specifically my t-zone area. I noticed it November last yr and my GP prescribed some anti-fungal tablets and ointment which didn't work. Then I was told it was probably linked to my hormones as I had implants at the time. I took out the implant in January this year and the patches seem to be spreading instead. I have been referred to the dermatologist but I've got another two months wait before I get seen. Any ideas what it could be? It's getting a bit worrying.
hiya lady , ypur sufferin g from fungal infection caleed pitriasis versicolor which is characterised by white or brown colored patches on face ,back ,chest .it occurs when sweat accumulateds on your skin whenever tere is extreme humidity , in case of implant it is a myth that removal of implant may resolve the lesion as the white spot u stated is just ppost inflammatory hypo-pigmentation which will resolve in 1 or two momths by the time u visisit a skin expert as it is just keratin aproteien on ur skin eatten up by the host yeast species malasezzia which( normal skin color) is reversible
