Pea Sized Lump On Shoulder Which Is Growing In Size. What Should I Do?
I noticed a pea size lump on the top/middle of my left shoulder about 3 months ago. Over the past 5-6 weeks it's grown about double that size. It doesn't hurt unless I push on it and then it is just a little sore and feels a little itchy and burns. I'm a little worried because at first I thought it was just something that would go away but it has only gotten bigger.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Lohit K's Response
Hi, Since the size of the swelling/lump in increasing and now you are feeling itchy and burns this requires further investigations like ultrasonic examination, fine needle aspiration cytology and also X ray of left shoulder joint. This may be simple lipoma or any other cause. So for diagnosis and management you are required to consult your doctor once and get the above said investigations. Get back with the reports for further discussion on the management.
