Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, Cramping And Pain. Given Valium, Narco. Remedy?

I am 38 & began physical therapy for pelvic floor dysfunction. I am experiencing cramping/.spasming/pain. I have taken 2.2mg Oral Valium, 2-10 ,pmg vag Valium, and 2 10/325 norco in the past 4 hrs for pain. Any other suggestions? I am very uncomfortable. Heat helps but not enough. Is there a vagual heating orinr or anything like that? Getting desperate and not wanting to go to ER.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and thanks for the query,

I think physical therapy actually helps, but usually takes some time. Success is greatly dependent on regularity with the therapy and respect of directives given there in.
It would however be important to consider being reviewed by a urogynecologist from time to time. The drugs prescribed to me are appropriate, but accompanied by physiotherapy, improvement should lead to progressive reduction in the doses of these drugs to avoid dependence. It would be worth getting consulting by a physician in case of intense pain, and maybe getting another reevaluation.
My advice is getting a consultation from a urogynecologist, respecting treatment guidelines of your physiotherapist, knowing that the results might take time to be obtained. You must hesitate informing your family physician of any abnormal feelings or findings you might have. I think you must not feel so worried at this point in time.
Thanks and best regards,
Luchuo, MD.
