Hello and welcome to HCM,
I understand that there was a cyst in the uterus of 28mm.
Please do not worry. Even though a cyst in the uterus is rare [ they are more common in the ovaries] but it is very small less than 3 cm. You have also mentioned about a mass in the uterus.
The commonest mass is a fibroid. Other are a
endometrial cancer which is rare. Sometimes masses from the ovary also grow into the uterus.
It would help to know the location of the cyst, size of the mass and your age. The commonest cystic structure in the
uterine cavity is
pregnancy. I am not sure if you are menstruating or are using
contraception.
Since there are these possibilities an MRI helps in better visualization of masses arising from the
soft tissue as well as determine their extent and origin.
So do not worry. Get the MRI done. It will help in proper diagnosis.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Thanks for using HCM.
