Pelvic Ultrasound Shows Enlarged Uterus, Thick Lining, Fluid. Advised Endometric Biopsy Urgently. Opinion?

I had a pelvic ultrasound last week and my doctor told me I needed to come in for a endrometric biopsy. I have been having heavy periods that are closer together for several months.with large clots I have no pain pressure or any other symptoms. I asked if I could wait 6 weeks to have this done because I am dealing with a extremely personal family issue right now. She said no it cant wait. Im 47, 3 pregnancies, never breastfed. She said I had no cysts or abnormalities just a enlarged uterus, thick lining and some fluid. Want a second opinion. She has me scared to death because of the asap request

Hi Dear,
At 47 yrs, with history of frequent and heavy bleedig and ultrasound sowing enlarged uterus with thick endometrial lining, it is evident that you are suffering from dysfunctional uterine bleeding. However, te endometrial lining of uterus changes trough out the cycle and has to be assesed careful with respect to day of the cycle. The lining is thick in the second half.
Other possibility is that of endometrial cancer . Diagnosis of both the above conditions can be done only with the help of endometrial biopsy, which should be done at the earliest. But, if you cannot make it rigt now can wait for few days but get it done at the earliest
