Period Missed, Having Giddiness After Laproscopy For Removing Ovarian Cyst. Any Chance Of Being Pregnant?

Hello Doctor .I had laproscopy for ovarian cyst in last september 27.They gave one injection to avoid endometriotic cyst .and then told your period will be delay.But i have periods next circle in october 15 itself.But now period date is missed around 10 days in november and also giddiness.is there any chance to am pregnant.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
They might have given some hormonal injection to prevent the endometriotic cyst.
These type of injections can prevent the pregnancy.
But sometimes they can lead menstrual irregularities also.
So, delay in your periods could be due to the effect of the drug.
If you had unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation, there is possibility of pregnancy.
So, better to go for pregnancy test once.
If the test comes negative, the possibility of pregnancy is less.
You can wait for one more week. Possibly by that time you will get your periods.
If not, consult gynecologist once and take tablets to induce withdrawal bleeding.
