Please Suggest A Remedy For Chest Pain And Palpitation After Drinking Tea.
Active 64 year old male in good health. I seem to notice chest pain immediately on drinking about 12 oz of hot herb tea in the evenings. I enjoy the tea as I end my day relaxing but the chest pain and some palpitations (which I otherwise don't have) seems to follow the tea. Any connection?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have chest pain and palpitation after drinking tea. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case the symptoms are probably due to acid reflux . I would suggest you to avoid drinking tea , eat light and non spicy , keep your head elevated while sleeping , take antacid after every meal and take small and frequent meals . If condition doesn't get well then consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ambulatory acidity test along with endoscopy of upper digestive system along with taking history . Doctor may prescribe proton pump inhibitor along with H2 blockers and omeprazole . Doctor may also refer you to cardiologist for condition like angina .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
