Please Suggest The Cause And Remedy For Severe Headaches

Hi, I frequently experience severe headache like migraine. Unbearable on either side of the head, pain around eyes and also I feel paining retina. This is my observation that I get this due to low blood sugar level due to delayed meal and meal after delayed meal. Please guide.

Thanks for posting your query on Healthcaremagic.

Based on your symptoms if I believe you have migraine you need to control the triggers for your headache. Skipping meals and delayed meals is a common trigger for migraine. You can reduce your headache without medications by avoiding this. As your headaches are disabling you need to be on preventive medications for migraine like propranolol, flunarizine and topiramate. You have to maintain a headache diary to know about your headaches in detail.

So I personally feel you need to see a Headache specialist or a Neurologist for management of your difficult migraines. Avoid triggers to stop migraine.
