Hi,

Welcome to Healthcaremagic.

If structural integrity of the brain is ascertained then there could be a need to assess the functional ability .Any derangement in the function of the brain can also lead to memory impairment.

Such examination will be done by a Psychiatrist.

DO visit a Psychiatrist who after conducting various subjective tests will help in identifying the exact cause for the memory impairment.

The pneumonia you had may or may not be related to the problem you .Hence a logical approach with help of a psychiatrist is the best option.

Wish you good health.
