Popping In Ears, Clogged Sensation, Green Pus, Blood Discharge. Tried Zithromax, Ear Drops. Permanent Cure?

Last week my ear popped, then felt clogged and when I laid down is wouldn t stop popping and then it started draining green pus looking stuff and blood the pain has been unbearable so went to er next morning and dr gave me zithromax and ear drops, I ve taken all antibiotics and its still painful, clogged and draining green but it s not bleeding at this time... I HAVE NOT BEEN SICK AT AND NO FEVER

I thoroughly read your query regarding your earache and discharging greenish pus not responding to conservative treatment you are taking.
As per your complaints I am suspecting that you were having collection in your middle ear giving rise to feeling of blocked ear which than progress to increase tension in middle ear and giving rise to severe pain, due to this tension your drum got perforated which result in drainage of contained pus out in ear canal.
Regarding treatment of this situation firstly your ear should be clean very cautiously preferably by ent doctor and pus of ear should be subjected to culture and sensitivity test to decide the correct antibiotic,and beside antibiotic anti inflammatory, and decongestants play an important role in treatment. This conservative treatment is usually helpful but if it fails than surgery is the only alternative.
