Hello Kathy,
Welcome at HCM.
I have read details of your question.
I want to assure you that this is not a
rib fracture, until unless there is injury or trauma or there is severe weakness of bone due to other reson ,this should not be a fracture rib.
In case of fracture you may find following symptoms-
-There should be
severe pain on a spot or large area.
-There is swelling.
-There should be pain on pressing that part.
-There should be excessive pain on taking deep breath.
If you are not having these symptoms, then stay assure that you are not having fracture.
Even if you are having little doubt then it will be better for you to go for a x ray of chest AP view & get it reported from a
radiologist doctor.Generally most of the hospitals or clinics give you x rays after reporting it from a x ray expert or radiologist.
At present you should have a good
analgesic like
paracetamol to get relief from pain. Please do rest & avoid exertion, so that you can recover faster.
With best wishes.
