Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
After going through your history, VDRL test is for Syphilis which is a Sexually transmitted disease so kindly get confirmatory tests and visit a Dermatologist.
It is advisable to test for both the partners and take treatment accordingly which can be easily treated by prescription drugs.
It is even more important to get the treatment as you are going abroad.
Once both are treated it is very important to have safe sex practices,it is very important not to have multiple partners.
Use of barrier methods like Condoms prevents spread of STDs.
It is also important to be faithful to each other.
Good Luck
