Pregnancy. Took Cytotec. Noticed Spotting. Decided To Take Exluton Pills For Contraception. Advise?
hi doc i have 4 weeks of pregnancy, i really dont know that exact 4 weeks because my last mens was may 27-31 then i didnt have mens in month of june so i decided to take cytotec last july 8, one tablet take orally of cytotec and 3 tabs inserted into my vagina, after 6 hrs i bleed just normal as menstruation for six days,in second day july 9 there has a lemon size blood clot shape circle goes out with my mens ,only one, i thought that was an embryo? or what is that doc pls? so last july 17 i decided to take exluton pills for contraceptive for i thought no pregnancy occur. Last july 22 to 29 i have my menstruation again. In aug i have a pt positive result im afraid for the result so i decided to stop the exluton and wait my menstruation this last week of the month, im sad this time because its already aug 28 but no sign of my menstruation.
Doc is the fetal still there? can one tab of cytotec take and 3 inserted harm fetal? pls advice me doc???

Hello,
I suggest to undergo one TVS scan along with blood test for beta-HCG to know the current status of conception or its products.
Incomplete abortion, failure of OCP can give rise to positive pregnancy test and you have to consult with gynecologist for reassessment of the case through examination and above mentioned tests.
Till then, maintain genital hygiene. Good luck.

I feel, before the birth control pill, one should confirm complete expulsion of the products of conception.In spite of oral pills you had bleeding in between(which can be due to a missed pill OR incomplete abortion)
I would advice for an ultra sonography to know the exact position inside.After that please consult a Gynacologist for further manegement,
Even if the pregnancy is intact, It should be terminated for fear of bad effects of the medicines taken.
