Pregnancy Test Came Negative. Took Primolut After Diagonised With PCOD. Effect On Fetus?

hi doctor, i took primolut n tablets for 6 days after been diagnosed with PCOS with an ultrasound3 weeks ago. There was no pregnancy. A week after completing the medication, still expecting my period, i did a urine pregnancy test last week and it turned out positive. will the primolut cause any harm to the fetus and what is the gestational age of the fetus?

Hi,
Primolut N is contraindicated in pregnancy, and since you used it after getting a sonogram, you were perhaps ovulating at that stage. Though the effects on the fetus are not well framed, it could lead to early labor, uterine irritability as seen in some studies. I advice you to see your doctor immediately for a blood test and a sonogram to know the exact state of affairs. Good luck.
