The Fetal Measurement Of Scan Seems Small For Gestational Age. What Is Normal?
Hi, I was having my 24 week scan today and here is the fetal mesuremnets (BPD 57.4 OF 80.4 HC 215.1 A.C 191.3 HC/AC 1.124 FL 46.6 FETAL WEIGHT 695 G) actually the only thing I am concerning about is the BPD size looks smaller than it s gestational age . Can you please let me know if it s normal or not and why it s small
hello, In 24 wk scan,BPD is almost 61 mm but may varies up to +/- 3 mm. So BPD 57.4 mm will be considered normal and may grow up/develop in later months. Other parameters are also within normal range. Don't be much worried. Do a USG scan on 32 wk to know feto-placental well being in details. Take healthy protein rich diet, continue Iron & other vitamins/nutrients, Avoid stress,Take adequate rest, avoid heavy work/long journey and do periodic check up. Be well.
