Pregnancy Test Negative, Taking Deviry. Will Deviry Impact The Results ?
My wife who is (39 years old, have one daughter by normal delivery )has missed her menstural periods. After 10 days were over we used a pregnancy kit to test pregnancy by ourself. It was negative. However, we contacted a Gyanecologist. She has prescribed Deviry without doing a pregnancy test as we did not want to continue. My wife has been taking Deviry for last 3 days and there is no mensuration. I want to know if we want a pregnancy test done in Pathology lab using urine, will Deviry impact the results?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
First of all, you may repeat the pregnancy test if you have any doubt. Blood test for beta-hCG is more confirmatory.
Taking deviry for short course usually does not cast impact on pregnancy hormone. So, you can get an accurate result.
Following test report, you need to consult with gynecologist for other relevant investigation (like USG, hormone assay) in absence of pregnancy. Take suggestive measures accordingly.
Take healthy diet, avoid stress, control body weight. Good luck.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
