Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your symptoms can be frustrating. But let me start by asking if you are on any form of birth control or hormonal supplements? As you have not mentioned this in your query, it is important for me to ask this. As most birth control and hormonal supplements can result in the symptoms you are experiencing.

If you are not on any such supplements or birth control, the next thing that comes to my mind is a hormonal effect. Your age also would have helped, as most women belonging to the reproductive age group experience such symptoms when they are expecting their period or during it. The fact that these symptoms were not present before you lost your virginity could be a mere coincidence, a sign that your hormones were not as active as they are at your current age or even a possible sign of an infection. Although, for an infection you should be experiencing other symptoms like frequent urination, burning or itching around your genitalia, a vaginal discharge, etc.

If this is indeed a hormonal effect attributed to a period, then it shall subside once you are done with your period. But if it persists, it would be best to visit a doctor for the same.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.
