Pregnant. Increased Thyroid Levels. Effects On Pregnancy?

i am 36 and have alwaysa benn slender and tall, my father and mother are of similar buil. pregnant with 2nd child and now having blood work come back that i have large numbers on a thyroid test. well of course the internet and google are all over the place on views and comments. i know my dr will get back to me but can we try to ease my mind about sffects on miscarriage risk and what this means for me and my body. I know u cant be too thorough without knowing my xacts ...but some eaier info..to read maybe? i think wikipedia was way to lieteral and scientific. i got lost Thank you

Hello

i understand that you are a 36 year old pregnant female and concerned about your thyroid test. If your TSH is high, it suggests that your thyroid is functioning low and you may require medication.

untreated thyroid disease may carry a risk of miscarriage, but if you start treatment that should not be a problem.
