Pregnant. Sunburn On Lower Leg, Swollen And Painful Ankle. Visit To The Doctor Needed?

I got a small 5 inch by 3inch sunburn and some blotchy sunburn on my lower leg 2 days ago. Put sunscreen on but must have pulled up my pant leg above my sunscreened areas. My ankle is swollen and hurts. I have been keeping it clean and hydrated and drinking lots of water. I have also been elevating my leg. I am newly pregnant and wondering if I should see a dr.

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
If you are sure it is sunburn, visit to doctor is not required.
you can apply some topical steroid like hydrocortisone,
This will help in healing the lesion.
Once it is healed you can apply sun screen on daily basis.
Sun screen can prevent sun burn but cannot cure it, hence steroid is required.
