Pregnant. Tested TB IgM And IgG. Will This Test Effects In Pregnancy?
Dear Sir / Mam.. I have the test results of my wife for TB IgM and IgG. This is what report says TB Antibodies IgM - Positive (1.340) and TB Antibodies IgG - Negative (152). We had undergone these test in the process of Pregnancy tests . Can you please confirm how much d does this affect her pregnancy? Thanks in advance for your answers
The information provided by you is inadequate. Normally TB is not diagnosed on the basis of TB antibodies test and there are other tests for diagnosing TB. A positive TB IgM test indicates only a recent infection and that`s all. It is only a hypersensitivity reaction to TB proteins and does not indicate the disease. This report should be interpreted along with her clinical condition and any other test if it has been done. You should go back to your gynaecologist or Pulmonologist for correct advice.
