Pregnant. Ultrasound Shows Gestational Sac With No Fetal Mode. Normal Or Due To Missed Abortion?
hello, iam 6 wks pregnancy ,my transvaginal US show gestational sac with no fetal node, corpus luteum is present.good choriodecidual reaction with no retrodecidual collection or separation.and 2 wks aweek my pregnancy symptoms except breast tenderness are fade up suddenly ...is this normal or missed abortion is most possible?
Hi,
As the trans-vaginal sonogram has failed to show a fetal pole at this stage, and your pregnancy symptoms have disappeared, it is most likely that you have a missed abortion. You can confirm by getting a repeat sonogram after another week and correlate the findings with serial measurements of serum beta-hCG which show a steady decline in case of an abortion. Please consult your gynecologist for further management. Take care.
