Pregnant After IVF But Now Have Brownish Pink Discharge. Prescribed Dupbaston. Would This Help Sustain The Pregnancy?
Hi,
I did IVF on 11/11/2013. bFP on 24/11. Beta hcg 22 on 24/11. Brownish and pink discharge starting on 23/11. I was using crinone 8% in the morning and progeffik 100mg in the night time. Changed doctor on 24/11 and he gave me dupbaston 10mg instead. One pill 3 time a day. Would it help to stop my discharge and help me to hkid the baby? Many many thanks
Hello Thanks for your query. The B HCG on 24th of November, was not good. It is highly indicative of a failed IVF / chemical pregnancy. Duphaston alone is not as effective as combination of Crinone gel and Progeffik. Vaginal progesterone is better for pregnancy support than oral Duphaston. However, first of all, you need to have a repeat B HCG to know if you actually ARE pregnant, otherwise you are unnecessarily consuming these drugs. Please get a B HCG / pelvic ultrasound scan. If pregnancy is documented, then continue using the earlier regimen. IT is more supportive to the pregnancy. Take care.
