Pregnant, Bleeding When Wiped After Urinating, Slight Pain. C-section Done For Previous Pregnancy. Advise?
Me and my husband had intercourse this morning, After wiping i found bright red blood. I still have blood when i wipe after visiting the toilet . Slight niggling pains but nothing else. I am 34 weeks pregnant with twins. I have been booked in for a c-section in 3 weeks time. This is my second pregnancy. My first pregnancy was by emergency c-section. They found i have a very thin lower segment. Should i be concerned?
Dear user, welcome to healthcare magic. You have a scar of a previous c section before and the lower segment was thin (as you mentioned), and now you are 34 weeks pregnant in a twin... It is not wise to have sex at that time. We don't want another emergency. It's not absolutely contraindicated but you must be very cautious as sex may induce preterm labor. If your doctor assures you that there is no problem in the ultrasound, the fetal kicks are good and satisfactory and your blood pressure is within the normal limits, then don't worry. I wish you good luck and a safe delivery. Dr. Ahmed Bahaa.
