Pregnant, Having Tooth Pain. X-ray Showed Some Sinus Problem. Suggest?

I'm 4 weeks pregnant. I've been having terrible tooth pain on a tooth that had a filling replaced less than 2 months ago. I went to a different dentist who did an X-ray, she seemed to think it may have something to do with my sinuses. My tooth pain has gotten worse over the last 2 days, so I started on a zpack this morning. How long before it starts to feel better?

Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

I have read your concern.

Since the toothache is associated with filled tooth, chances of re-infection is high.

The infection may have spread into Periapical area and thereby into sinus spaces.

Tooth has to be either root canal treated or extracted depending on severity of inflammation.

Usually in such cases,Amoxycillin along with analgesics has to be administered.

Hope this helps.
