Pregnant, Popping Sound When Going To Bathroom, Painful. What Is This?
I m about 36 weeks pregnant and whenever I go to the bathroom, I hear popping noises. It s usually more than one and it does hurt a little bit. I know it can t be my water breaking because there is more than 1 pop. It sort of sounds like the noise your knuckles make when you crack them except it sounds a lot lower. What is this?
This is likely related to the joints in your pelvis. The pelvic bone represent five bones fused together. These joints become more unstable in pregnancy. The fact that the cracking and popping is clearly related to position change, then this is the most likely explanation. It is of low concern if this is the cause.
If you have persistet unexplained pelvic pain, though, you should talk with your OB/GYN.
Hi, it might be due to your baby's head compressing bladder/bowel. If otherwise your pregnancy is fine & you have no other symptoms, there is no need to worry.
