Presence Of Hyperdense Focus In High Parietal Parafalcine. Explain
In my CT Scan report, it is mentioned that There is presence of hyperdense focus (8mm x 3mm) in left high parietal parafalcine regions. Rest of the brain show normal attenuation. IMPRESSION: Calcified in high parietal parafalcine region Sir, can u tell me what is this and wat is further course of treatment for this disease
The most important aspect is to know if it is a meningeal/dura mater calcification (which is a common finding in adults), or a true brain calcification (usually non-specific, some of them correspond to sequelae of parasitic infection, especially if multiple).
In both cases, there is usually no progression and, if the remaining brain is normal, they should not be a cause of worry.
I wish you Good Health!
