Pristiq Is Not Working And Would Like An Adderall Script

hi i have been sober for 110 days after being an alcoholic for over ten years. i know have been taking pristiq but it is leaving me with a lost feeling like i dont know what is going on and i zone out even while i m talking. i ve self medicated with 20mg amphet salt and think that it is the answer to my issues of anxiety and depression . i have an apt with my psychiatrist today. what should i tell him? and will he give me something other than pristiq or maybe let me combine it with adderall . do most psychiatrists not want you to ask for a medication like adderall?

Pristiq contains desvenlafaxine which is a SNRI drug THAT WORKS FOR DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY. Whereas, Amphet salt or Adderall contain stimulants like amphetamine salts which causes depresion and anxiety, on longterm use, though the individual might feel better immediately after taking this. Hence, it would of no use to take both. Moreover, people who are dependent on alcohol ( currently or past) are more likely to develop dependence to other addictive drugs like Adderall or Amphet. We have other different group of drugs like TCA, SSRI etc to take care of the symptoms you are suffering from.
