Nos.: 0000 / 0000 E-mail: YYYY@YYYY Medical History: Personal : Chief Complaint:(with duration) CSR - CSR in my left eye since Nov 8th 2012 Other Complaints: (with duration) Chronic problem of Atonic constipation with acidity : All the time taking care of diet – drinking lots of water – Always try to avoid medicine – For maintenance purpose, taking Lactulose solution (duphalac/rapiduce) 3-4ml weekly 4 to 5 times whenever required since 9 to 10 months. Kindly suggest – Prolong use side effects/contraindications, if any. Detailed History: Initially, a black spot was there covering the major part and gradually recovered but, the vision is minimized, colors are not properly clear, vivid lines appears and a continuous headache and sprain at neck area. I had an OCT twice (in start and recently in February 2013. Approximately, 70% is recovered But, two different images ( Diplopia ) are disturbing all the time. Kindly, guide me the procedure for faster recovery. Family History: My father is having the same problem of atonic constipation since the age of 35 (yrs) with bronchial asthama, spondylosis , high bp. Laboratory and Other Investigation Reports: OCT Reports shows CSR in Left eye …. Any Known Sensitivity / Allergy: No as such. Medication Details: Current: Since 15days – using I-Power eye drop (Syncom Healthcare Ltd.) Initially, Retinal Specialist suggested Megabrom for first three months i.e. Nov 2012 till February 2013. Past: Hernia Repair I the year 2006. Any Other Important / Relevant Information: Now a days, everybody has a increased stress level pertaining to job, survival, etc. Same is the case with me as the company seems to be in problem as the payouts are delayed all the time since August 2012.

This condition CSR is one that commonly affects young men. Thankfully it is a self-resolving condition though very distressing at the time it is there. The treatment you have been receiving seems fine. If you want a faster recovery you could undergo a procedure called fluorescein angiography where a possible leakage point would be identified and if not in the central vision area can be lasered to stop the leakage. You could possibly discuss your need for earlier recovery with you retina consultant at the next appointment.
