Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hi...
Thanks for the query..
Because your central vision got effected,it is most likely problem of the macula ie., visually potential area..
How old are you?
If you are young it could have been a fluid collection in the macula with serous detachment called CSR..It is a self limiting condition and you are using correct prescription only..
It will resolve in 1-2 months generally.
In case if you have any visual problem you can get an OCT done to know if there is any residual fluid or thinning of the fovea which contributes to vision..
Hope this information helps.. Take care.. Will be available for further queries.

Ophthalmologist Dr. Dadapeer K's  Response
Hello,
The symptoms you have told here suggest inflammatory edema involving the macula like cystoid macular edema, central serous retinopathy...
Since you are using treatment for last five months and as you have quoted the condition is better but not completely cured.
Hence you require repeat examination with ophthalmologist and probably require investigations like ocular coherence tomography for evaluation of the macula. These investigations will help in deciding the further course of treatment.
Thank you

Ophthalmologist Dr. Khushbu Bhattad's  Response
hello sir,
welcome to HCM,
According to your history problem you might be having is cystoid macular edema,
it occurs commonly in young male .
precipitating factors are smoking, prolonged use of steroids might be cream probably any skin cream with steroids, stress etc.
first of all avoid smoking completely, do not take stress.
it resolves in 6 month probably,if not improving then laser is other option available
now as your vision is improving you should follow your ophthalmologist regularly atleast once in a month and take proper treatment
i hope i answered your query.
take care
