Prominent Aortic Knuckle With Fine Atheromatous Plaque And Dilated Unfolded Aorta. Normal?

hi dr.am 57 femal .my cheast x-ray shows:: 1-prominent aortic knuckle with fine atheromatous plaque and dilated unfolded aorta 2- bilaterally.accentuated bronchovascular marking with prominent hilar vasculer shadows 3-spondylo degenerative changes of the examined dorsal spines 4-partialy defined ghost calcified shadow is noted overlying the region of carina 5 all the other findings are normal can u help me know what is that ?

Thanks for your query

Findings in your chest X-ray are absolutely normal as described by you.
These are all age related findings and these are normal in your age group.

1. Fine atheromatous plaque with prominent aortic knuckle and dilated unfolded aorta are normally found in hypertensive patients and deranged lipid profile. It is due to long standing injuries of the blood vessels.
2. Bronchovascular markings and hilar vascular shadows become prominent with age.
3. Vertebral spine also shows degenerative changes with age, this is also normal.
4. Calcified shadows in carinal region may be due to prior infection and it is normal .
so you need to be worried at all.
