Hi,
What you are explaining seems to be a Divarication of Recti.
A condition involving weakness of the anterior abdominal wall muscles.
It does not usually lead to any problems but can lead to ventral hernias like Epigastric or Umbilical but are unrelated in most cases.
Diverticulosis is also not related to this condition.
Take care,
Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
