Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I pulled my back last night and was immediately in pain. I laid on the floor with a ice pack on my back. As soon as I moved a muscle the would be very sharp lower back pain . Then I started farting a lot. At least 3 to 5 times every 30 minutes. I finally got help from my girlfriend and a friend to get up and go to bed. All of which was painful. The pain and the farting are staying consistent this morning now. I can t walk without being sent to the ground in pain. What do I need done, and why all the farting?
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain in your back is likely to be due to a muscle spasm. The excessive farting is suggestive of indigestion and gas which is adding to your problem. Ypou need to get some musclke relaxants prescribed from your orthopedician for relief.
