Question On Heart Pounding

I have had this before. After drinking about 6 beers. I went to take A nap. After I woke Up My heart was pounding and I felt like s*** OK. I did not get drunk. Just visiting with family ate dinner and then took A nap then Woke up this way. What does this mean? Yes It has happened to me before drink on the weekends only. what could this be????? I woke up this was out of A really hard sleep. It could not be A panic attack because I woke up this way! eyes not even open yet.

The alcohol is probably dehydrating you. Dehydration can cause tachycardia (rapid heart rate) which can make your heart feel like it's pounding out of your chest. I would say to drink water whenever you drink alcohol, a 12 ounces of water for every beer you drink. Take it easy and be careful. If this happens every time you drink, I would say that you should just not drink at all. I don't think it's an anxiety disorder because you haven't really mentioned any other symptoms of anxiety. take care.
