Random Heart Beat, Blackout, Low BP At The Age Of 18
I'm only 18 and i don't understand what could be wrong with my heart? Ok so i m only 18 years old and i have a fairly good diet . I exercise and stay in shape. I m not really into candy and that kind of stuff. Well anyway, for the past year or two i ve been aware of heartbeat at random times. When it first started it panicked me because i had never had that happen before. I just blew it off though. Now it happens more often and its starting to worry me. I dont know what it could be. I feel fine before and after it happens. If you have any ideas of what it could be or if you ve gone through something similar it d be great to have some opinions. Oh one more thing. I also blackout at random times too. But i think that may be due to low blood sugar . What do you think? Any help would be great!! :D
First to rule out the fairly obvious. If you are inactive and do a lot of moving around you could be triggering your heart to beat faster, which could be what you are feeling.
Now, down to what you are probably looking for, some problems. What this could be...diabetes, or a congenital heart problem. Either way you want to get checked out by a dr. Perhaps record what you eat on days that you black out, see if there is a connection.
A congenital heart problem might include a leaky valve that when the blood spurts back the wrong direction (regurgitates) it could trigger your heart to beat much faster. Many people have this and for the most part it is a benign condition however if your episodes of blacking out are related it could be somewhat more serious.
Get yourself checked out and good luck!
