Raspy Voice, Rashes Under Breasts Post Nasal Drip. Diagnosed As Staph Infection. Opinion?
Have had a raspy voice for 3+ weeks, post nasal drip...constantly clearing my throat and coughing, no fever, no chills, nasal drainage is clear contributed it to allergies then started with an abdominal rash 11 days ago thought it was poison Ivy sought medical attention at a health center on 7/5 d/t my DR office was closed, dx with staph infection and given Keflex tid x7 days, have been on the med for 48 hrs, rash now under my breasts, itches and burns. getting concerned the two might be related and I was missed dx. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!

Your yistory suggests initial allergic rhinites with cough due to post nasal drip later abdominal rash. Rash may be due to multiple reason like allergy or infection. Since you was put on antibiotic complete the course of it. Now rash under breasts with itching and burning may be due to same rash that was on your abdomen, allergy or most probably due to fungal infection. Clean with every day with soap water, dry completely, put talcum powder to keep area dry. If any lesions suggesting fungal then you have to applt antifungal cream on to it. If you develop rash on other parts of body, then it may be due to drug also. then stop drug and consult your doctor for further examination and management.
