Reason For Bleeding During Sex?

Hi. My boyfriend and I were having sex recently and he quickly pulled up and got up. I saw red and said I don't know how I could be bleeding because I just got off my period a week ago. He said that it wasn't me but that it was him. He had a cut about half an inch long near the head and where his foreskin is. He is uncircumcised. Do you know what might've happened and if we should be worried?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The bleeding from the penile region could be due to trauma.
Infections usually present with discharge and bleeding is uncommon.
The presence of cut is more in favor of trauma.
The cut should be allowed to heal.
This can take 3-5 days.
Avoid sexual activity since this can interfere with healing of the wound.

Thanks and take care
